Discipleship Groups
What is a discipleship group? The short answer is that a discipleship group is a gathering of people designed to provide community and help us become more like Jesus through study, service, learning, and just hanging out.
Right now the best way to get connected is one of our short-term May groups. These teaching-oriented, medium-sized groups are a great way to learn and grow in your faith and meet some people along the way. This May we're offering:
- The Story 2, a three-week journey through 2000 years of Church history on Mondays
- Grace, Truth, & Homosexuality, a discussion of how to extend grace and truth and how to reach out in love to the gay community on Wednesdays
- Being a Disciple, a look at discipleship through the eyes of Peter, John, and Andrew on Tuesdays.
- January Term
- Spring: February - April
- May Term
- Summer: June - July
- Fall: September - December
On June 3 we kick off our summer groups. These will be listed online beginning mid-May. We encourage you to browse through the listings and find one that works for you. We've got groups that study the Bible, practice martial arts, dance, pray, and explore DC. We've got groups for artists, singles, couples, twenty-somethings, women, men, medical professionals, the list goes on and on. E-mail the group leader for more information, or if you need help finding a group, contact .
All of our groups operate on the semester system to give you easy entry and exit points and the opportunity to explore several group options throughout the year. Our semesters are consistent year-to-year:
